A Message for Those Searching
Mark Twain once said, "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why."
We all carry that question: Why am I here? It’s not just a thought—it’s a restless feeling deep in our hearts.
Often, the struggle lies in the conflict between what society expects of us and what we truly desire. Even when we achieve external success, we may realize that the fulfilment we hoped for doesn’t materialize. This is usually a painful awakening, leaving us with a choice:
-
Do we numb ourselves and stay on the same path, pretending it’s enough?
-
Or do we find the courage to make changes that align with who we truly are and what we deeply want?
Most of us say, “But I don’t really know what I want.”
In reality, deep down, you already do. You already have a sense of your purpose—a quiet whisper or blurry vision. But without clarity, fear takes over: fear of failing, fear of change, fear of the unknown.
This fear keeps us stuck, circling around that vision without acting on it. But when we bring it into focus—when we clarify what we want and who we are—something incredible happens:
Our desire becomes stronger than our fear. And that’s when we start to move forward.
My Story
As long as I remember, I longed for fulfilment, admiring those who radiated passion for what they did. I wondered if I would ever find that for myself.
I deeply believed I didn’t know my purpose and kept searching. From a young age, I was drawn to psychology—the human brain and behavior fascinated me. I immersed myself in psychology books, even scientific ones far beyond what most kids would find interesting. But despite my passion, I still wondered: What is my purpose?
The truth was, I had shut the door on my passion. When I shared my love for psychology, it was dismissed by my parents—well-meaning but shaped by the stigma of their time. Instead, I chose "a real" profession and entered the tech world. I built a successful career, working for some of the biggest tech companies in the world (Meta, Wise, Alibaba Group). But inside, I was hurting.
It took a serious burnout and health issues for me to finally step back and ask myself: What do I truly want?
The answer began to take shape when someone asked me: What is the change you want to see in the world?
I realised I hoped for a world where people are aligned with their purpose—where they wake up inspired, live their days with confidence and meaning, and end them feeling fulfilled and proud.
As one of my favorite authors, Antonio de Mello, writes in Awareness:
"You’re never so full of yourself as when you’re in pain. You’re never so centered on yourself as when you’re depressed. You’re never so ready to forget yourself as when you’re happy."
When we find fulfillment within ourselves, we can show up as our best selves for others. Fulfillment isn’t just about personal happiness—it’s about creating a kinder, more connected world.
Helping others find their purpose helped me discover my own. It brought me the peace I had been searching for. To deepen my understanding and support others on their journey, I retrained, became a certified coach, and dedicated myself to this work.
By combining psychology and spirituality, I guide people to uncover what truly matters to them and align their lives with meaning and connection.
This work means so much to me that I strive to make coaching accessible, knowing that finding purpose shouldn’t be a privilege, but a necessity.
